Joseph Buckley was born in Kildare, Ireland. He studied Public Administration. Employed in the Irish Civil Service for seventeen years and subsequently worked and lived in Belgium, South Africa, Vietnam, East Timor and Bangladesh. In 2002 published When Duty Calls… – a thriller novel on international trade intrigue.
The rapidly changing political landscape in the 21st century induced him to revamp When Duty Calls… into a political thriller – The President’s Fake Duty – around a reckless US president being manipulated by a sinister cabal.
He has also written a novel – Origins – inspired by his experiences/observations in South Africa and on the Indonesian archipelago. It is the first book in a trilogy about the origins of humanity. He is currently working on the sequel about human transformation in the last 700 years and, finally, hopes to chart the path to a new consciousness in a third book.
In the coming months I intend to start a Podcast dealing with writing, my books and other material of interest.
